10 Things I Hate About Your Blog
This list is not specific to any 1 blog. It’s specific to a certain type of blog. The ‘generic’ blog. Blogs that steal and scrape and add no value to the blogging world.
1. Your blog scrapes content from other RSS feeds.
2. Your design is shabby and effortless.
3. Your posts, comments and anything else that can be seen by human eyes on your blog is surrounded by Adsense ads.
4. All you do is insult big profile bloggers to try provoke them! Which is ok if done creatively… but not when it’s just constantly droning on about how Shoemoney is fake or how John Chow is evil. Come on! You’re better than that 
5. You don’t act out what you teach to others. All talk and no action.
6. Your subscribe button is in my face. Your blog is rubbish, get it away from me 
7. You see posts like this and copy the format.
8. You expect backlinks but give no link love.
9. You don’t come up with any original ideas, concepts, viewpoints or even bring new opinion to the table. You expect to make revenue from your blog but it gives no value to it’s readers. Hence, will never make a stable income.
10. All of above.
I hope this attracts a nice bit of backlinking and some vicious comments!
I love this post.. Especially the AdSense part. Everyone is using it now and no-body clicks on these ads.. I think its over now
I am a little concerned about the no-follow tag in links, What’s the impact on your blog if you install any plug-in which removes no-follow tag..
I am a little new to blogging.. so please help
Regarding your comment on the no-follow issue. To be honest, I haven’t got much opinion on it.
I don’t really care about SEO. I know about it and apply it at a basic level but don’t nitpick. Either you have quality content that people will link to… or you don’t.
If you don’t trust a site enough to allow Google to follow it… don’t link to it.
That is right..over deliver is a better way to make your reader love you..give more and than don’t expect anything big

There are lots of blogs like that out there, but there are just as many trying to make it in an honest way. We just need to make sure we support those honest bloggers who are slogging away to make themselves heard over all the spam blogs.

I might get rid of them colors. Didn’t really wanna add an image so wanted to brighten it up to a degree… thought the colors were a bad idea at the time… should of gone with my initial thought

If you give links only you will gain links. You need to get noticed about other bloggers to gain their trust and get a back link. I really agree with that.
Regarding Mohit Aneja Question my suggestion is to go with no follow link in comments. I agree if you have a do follow comment on your blog you might get more comments but most of the commentors are just looking for that.
Nice. This is real original Nick, haha. So true though, I lend out my linking capacity in the blink of an eye to people because I feel like any exchange is beneficial to both parties… I just wish people wouldn’t be so selfish sometimes.
And yes.. John Chow is evil (don’t hurt me Mr. Chow!)
