Yeah, you should just use Wordpress man. Use it for your blog and then you can install a plugin instead.

The Top Commentators thingy is something I should do for mine. THe problem is, I have to code it, instead of installing a plugin. Simple enough? Yes, but then I rope myself into things like a members area and all that crap. Eventually, my plan for coding a simple feature turns into some master plan to combine every facet of my site into one managable database system, at which point I say “I’ll have one more cup of tea, then get started”, go put the kettle on, then wander off.
It’s far too easy to get sidetracked!

Here are some more tips:

- place your comments link at the end of the post not at the top

- by default leave the subscribe comments to off as it annoys otherwise
