Why Gmail is the Best Client to Use for Your Mail

I don’t see any reason to use anything else but Gmail for your mail.

1. Huge storage space – Gigs worth of storage… unless your Michael Jackson or The Queen, your not going to run out of space no matter how long you let your mail pile up!

2. Very convenient – Easily pick up Gmail wherever you are, you can do this obviously with any web solution for your email but Gmail just ssems… so much quicker.

3. Great functionality – Logs in quickly, displays mail quickly, everything is in plain view. As usual Google’s solution is simple but major effective.

I’ve just never understood why people use Outlook Express and desktop mail clients to get their emails when you have Gmail.

With OE for example, you have a small storage capacity, it’s an external program you need to open, you wait longer for your mail.

Come on people! Gmail is the best thing for your mail. Use it!

i do feel i should look into gmail properly but outlook (not express – full version) is a very solid, very convenient, powerful mail application.

id probably end up wanting use gmail in outlook but that slightly defeats the point..

    hmm.

I don’t see the point in using a desktop client for mail. Gmail is so much quicker cleaner and better.

Gmail is great and I use it for casual purposes but I’ve had my main mail account on MSN since 2002 and so I can;t afford to give it up. Plus, I never have to visit hotmail.com. I use Microsoft Outlook at my office and WIndows Live Mail. Makes my life much easier :)

I use Thunderbird since I have about 4 different email addresses to check. It also checks them all every 10 mins, and my important ones, even less.

I have used GMail for about three years now and can’t imagine using anything else anymore. I’ve used aol, yahoo and msn and none of them are as quick and simple as GMail. I started my GMail account during the invitation phase, and because of that I was able to pick exactly the email address I wanted, however I am at about 50% full now in my available space….

I have so many emails that if I would check them all online (without Outlook Express) that alone would take me forever. I have to be able to keep up on the happenings on my websites, so OE is still the way to go.

I DO have a Gmail account that I do not check with OE, but that is for exclusive things only and I don’t check it every day.

I use Gmail as well. The feature that I like about them is that I can have a few Gmail accounts, forward all my mails to one and compose my mails in one of the accounts which can let me send from different addresses that I own.

The most fun I get from Gmail is that I never need to delete my mails.

Thunderbird beats Gmail on all counts. It has infinite storage space, can run all the time, and has infinite functionality with plug-ins.

    1. I’m never going to need infinite space. 6gb is plenty for my email.
    2. You can have Gmail open all the time if you want.
    3. I don’t care about plugins, I just want to read my email.

I disagree more then you know.

For example, I have a product for which my clients have to register, and those clients that register using Gmail do not receive their confirmation emails.

Gmail is non responsive to the issue despite my constant attempts to get someone to look into it (oh how typical of the big internet police).

My trace routers show that there are no errors and there is no reason in the world why they would not receive an email with user name and password and a download link in it.

I am looking at a massive increase of complaints on gmail every day. They drop emails. Emails are disappearing,, so on, so on…

Maybe one day, when they realize that more people hates them then likes them they might offer their products out and have people be satisfied and safe using them..

Too bad though, they started off what seemed like good intentions. Now they are just another corporate bully with too much money on their hands and not enough ideas to do something valuable with it…
